Animal Welfare League Fire Appeal

The Animal Welfare League Qld has suffered a loss of over $1 million when fire ripped through the central storage warehouse in the early hours of Saturday, 27 February 2010.

The AWL Qld committee, staff, volunteers and supporters are devastated at the loss of the warehouse and logistics centre that housed food, bedding, equipment and much more. With the warehouse gone the AWL Qld has limited space to store bedding and food for the cats and dogs or items donated to the AWL Qld Op Shops which are the primary source of income for the AWL Qld and keeps the charity running.
