Pippa the little Princess

I remember after the floods in 2011 thinking I must foster an animal after I heard on the radio that the AWLQ was in dire need for Foster Carers. I didn’t know that I was about to meet a little girl that would become my little princess.

I arrived after receiving a phone call that a little dog was sick, she had kennel cough, an ear infection and a skin infection as well as a bowel infection, all up she was very sick and scared.

Pippa was 6 years old and she came in and I remember thinking ”oh no, I am going to end up adopting this puppy” and yes after a couple of months (when she became well) we were attached for life. She was very nervous at first and did not like people or me and it has taken me over 18 months to get her to feel safe.

She is now a beautiful dog and gone from a fearful puppy to a girl that goes to ’bed times on cue’, likes to sleep in, loves her walks, enjoys her days with her nana and poppa and is living the life of a princess as well as has become a MODEL!

Thank you AWL for giving me the opportunity to meet the most precious dog I have ever met, we are inseparable.

Love Shahn and Pippa x
