I adopted Bullet in December for 3 reasons:
1) the staff loved him and convinced me not to “overlook his personality” as many of the previous pet-seekers had
2) he played his “cute” card well and did army-rolls around the pen; and
3) I couldn’t ignore that the “pet chose me”, sometimes you just know when it’s right!
It seems as if Bullet had called the AWL home for a while, with one staff member saying that she hasn’t been happier to see a pet find a home. Is this a good sign that we’ve got a “good one”, or that we’re in for times of headaches and stress?
Nearly a month in and he’s very much the love of my life (much to the envy of my partner). He is by far the most affectionate pet that I’ve owned. Bullet’s way of showing love is through wrapping his body around my head as I sleep, dropping his body on my feet whenever I’m still for a minute, and asking for neck scratches at the most inconvenient times such as when I’m on the toilet. And guess what, he knows how to play fetch!
