Von Bibra Auto Village: A great community supporter of AWLQ

AWLQ has been engaged in a vibrant community partnership with von Bibra Auto Village on the Gold Coast since December, 2012.

Von Bibra has been supporting AWLQ by offering each person who purchases a car the opportunity to direct a $20 donation to AWLQ.

Since its inception, this Von Bibra program has generated $130,000 in donations to AWLQ!

This generous funding has helped us to achieve even better outcomes for the many animals in our care.

AWLQ are extremely grateful to Group General Manager Wade von Bibra, his dad Warren and the staff at all of their dealerships and service centres for this fantastic support.

AWLQ and von Bibra also engage together in community events, including the most recent ‘Super Sumo family fun day’, which saw hundreds of their staff, family, friends and supporters come out and raise an additional $10,000 for AWLQ!

Not only does von Bibra support AWLQ financially, but their staff members and their families “CHOOSE TO ADOPT” animals from our AWLQ shelters as the following stories show.

‘Jane’ (adopted by Jeremy Wilson, Helensvale sales consultant, von Bibra)

‘Jane’ was adopted from AWLQ on Boxing Day, 2009 and has been a valued member of the family since. She loves the water, swimming and riding on the Paddle Board at Currumbin Creek!

As Jeremy says, “She makes the hardest days seem that much easier and every day is better having her in our family”.

‘Rufus’ (adopted by Bruce Ryan, Robina warehouse manager, von Bibra)

‘Rufus’ is a mature age Tonkinese cat and a real beauty! Bruce says, “The people at AWLQ were great with the rehoming process. ‘Rufus’ was being treated with medication prior to his adoption and they took such good care of him, including a follow up check up after he came home. He is definitely a member of the family and sleeps happily on the bed!”

‘Kiki’ (Adopted by Sam O’Brien, Southport Honda sales, von Bibra)

“We adopted Kiki from AWLQ in February and it was a good decision. This is the 2nd cat we now have in our family and she is a happy little girl to come home to”.

 ‘Sunny’
(Adopted by Nicole Dorante, Executive Personal Assistant, Southport, von Bibra)

“Sunny was adopted from AWLQ in 2013 for my mother and is now living the high life in Sydney! He is spoiled with love and toys and has salmon for dinner! He keeps mum company whilst dad is away and has most definitely found his own special forever home. Thanks AWLQ!”

‘Jessie’ (Adopted by Chris Moffit, Southport car sales, von Bibra)

“Adopting ‘Jessie’ from AWLQ was the best thing we ever did!

Our daughter Grace adores him and he gets on great with our dog ‘Indy’ as well. He loves to get close to cuddle and puts a smile on all of our faces everyday!”
