Moana is currently undergoing treatment for heartworm so she’s looking for a calm and loving foster home where she can rest and recover. The amazing vet team at AWLQ will handle all her medical needs while you provide her with comfort, care and love. ❤️‍🩹

During this time, Moana needs to keep her activity levels low, but that doesn’t mean she can’t enjoy life! She’d love to go on gentle, leisurely walks where she can take her time sniffing and exploring the world through her nose. To keep her mind active and happy, Moana would also benefit from plenty of mental enrichment, like puzzle toys and treat-dispensing feeders. 🧩

Teaching her some cool tricks through rewards-based training will also be a great way to stimulate her mind while also improving your communication and bond. If there’s another dog in your home, they’ll need to be calm and laid-back to help Moana stay relaxed during her recovery. 🐶
