AWLQ is committed to supporting our community, helping to keep people and pets together.
Our Animal Welfare League Qld Community Outreach Team is actively engaged in the community, providing on-the-ground support where it is needed most. Our Outreach Coordinators connect with Community Centres across the greater Brisbane, Ipswich and Gold Coast regions, attending community days by delivering direct support, and promoting our Outreach Programs. Here at AWLQ, we understand the power of collaboration and holistic support, and that sometimes our community members just need a little extra helping hand to get back up on their feet.
Pet Food Pantries
Animal Welfare League Queensland’s Pet Pantry program offers pet food support to people in need.
Emergency Boarding
Our Emergency Boarding program offers pet boarding services to people that require hospitalisation and have no other means for their pet to be cared for.
Cat Assistance Team
The AWLQ Cat Assistance Team (C.A.T.) is an exciting initiative working with the community to prevent stray and impounded cats.
AWLQ Community Vet Clinic
Our Community Vet Clinics provide essential low cost quality veterinary services to all members of the public, no matter their financial situation.
Community Support Days
Community Support Days offer members of the community with FREE pet care support in conjunction with Local Community Centres, ensuring participants have the opportunity to connect with relevant supporting services and agencies. At these events, you will find us handing out FREE pet food, equipment and preventative treatments (pending resources available/donated).

DRIVING AWARENESS & COMMUNITY SUPPORT
Part of this connection is to drive more awareness around current Projects, Initiatives and Campaigns and strengthening our support from the Community.
We have delivered over forty presentations in the last year with leading community factions including RSL Clubs, Rotary Clubs, Lions Clubs, Scouts, Girl Guides, High Schools, Primary Schools, Kindergartens and other prominent memberships, institutions and associations across South East Queensland.
