AWLQ AMBASSADOR PROGRAM
MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING

RELATIONSHIP

Our Community Ambassadors play a vital role in increasing the profile of AWLQ while representing AWLQ in the media, at events and speaking about our work. This is a varied role and you can be involved in a number of ways, dependant on your availability, and can choose to be involved with our key campaigns, including:

Attending AWLQ events to engage with supporters
Attending media calls on specific campaigns to generate media interest
Providing quotes and images for media releases
Raise awareness of AWLQ and our work through social media
You will be a voice for thousands of animals we care for each year

Most importantly you will be helping to save the lives of thousands of abandoned and homeless animals. We understand your time is important and will value any amount of time you can spare.

TERM

Appointments will be on a rolling annual term for as long as the relationship is beneficial to both parties.

CONFLICT OF INTEREST

Upon acceptance of the position of Ambassador, the Ambassador understands the position will not be used for their financial gain, but solely to support and promote AWLQ and its charity work within the community.

The Ambassador must agree to AWLQ’s positions in regards to animal welfare and agrees not to be aligned with any organisation that is deemed to have conflicting values with AWLQ.

The Ambassador must agree to not be aligned with an organisation that directly competes with AWLQ without prior agreement.

AWLQ agrees to disclose any existing or potential commercial competing Ambassadors during the recruitment process.

TERMINATION

Non-Notice

AWLQ may terminate this agreement if AWLQ considers that adverse publicity in respect of its association with the Ambassador may damage AWLQ’s reputation, goodwill or Intellectual Property.

The Ambassador may terminate this agreement if the Ambassador considers that adverse publicity in respect of its association with AWLQ may damage the Ambassador’s reputation.

By Notice

Either party may at any time during the term of this Agreement, terminate this Agreement by 3 months’ written notice to either party without any liability arising from such termination.

CONDITIONS

The Ambassador

Will not normally claim personal expenses and costs of events and activities will not usually be covered by AWLQ. Under exceptional circumstances AWLQ may agree to pay pre-approved costs.
During activations the Ambassador understands that they will be perceived to be acting on behalf of AWLQ and as such will abide by sensible and reasonable use of internet, email and other communications during this time.
Will not act on behalf of AWLQ without prior approval.
Will refrain from actions and involvements that may prove detrimental or contrary to AWLQ’s Position Statements and Values.
For the duration, and at the conclusion of this agreement will not utilise AWLQ’s intellectual property without prior permission from AWLQ.

Animal Welfare League Queensland

Will not act on behalf of the Ambassador without prior approval.
For the duration and at the conclusion of this agreement AWLQ will not utilise the Ambassadors intellectual property without prior permission from the Ambassador.
Will endeavour, where reasonable, to promote you as an Ambassador of AWLQ.
Will keep the Ambassador up-to-date about our achievements and our activities within the community and will invite the Ambassador to AWLQ’s events.
