This can be dangerous!
Cats and kittens love to play but curiosity can also kill the cat. Play it safe with your purr-fect little playmate this season. When you unpack new clothing make sure you dispose of the plastic tags as your cats and dogs get them stuck in their teeth, or worse, eat them.
The same goes with wrapping paper, sticky tape, plastic cutlery, used paper plates and string…these are all a magnet to kittens, puppies, dogs and cats.
And fisherman, fishing line and hooks are definitely not your cat and dog’s best friend.
If you think that your four legged pal has eaten something toxic, contact your vet immediately. AWLQ has two Community Vet Clinics – one on the Gold Coast and one in Ipswich. See here for their details.
Remember play it safe this summer season and it will be a festive season to remember, for all the right reasons!
